Barack Obama held a second presser today to respond to the suggestion that because he said he would "continue to revise" his Iraq policies that
this somehow heralded a change in his position on withdrawal from Iraq...
The key line: Obama said that he would "not refine the 16-month timetable."
We now have to deal with the "nutroots" of the conservative republican bloggers, who if they hear even a differant pause in Obama speaking this
week, then a differant pause he used a week ago, or several months ago, it is now a complete an utter flip flop by Obama.
Why?
Because if anybody reviews the history of McCain, or the anticks of Limbaue or Coulter's early primary remarks, they now need to 'swiftboat'
Obama's every pause in his speech, to deflect the flip flopping of 'conservative republicans' and their current GOP flip flopper who is running for
bush's third term.
Republican economics is not the solution to our problem; Republican economics is the problem
I thought that Obama specifically PROMISED to look for areas of compromise and to be a real "uniter."
As I said in another thread; it doesn't take a leader to propose doing exactly what his base already wants to do.
It takes a leader to convince both extremes to support things that aren't a natural fit in their party platform.
I also surely don't want (another) president who is inflexible and who refuses to quickly adjust his ideas and strategies based on what's going on
"on the ground."
