Fancy, have you kept in touch with any of the other kids from the home???

AP, first off, the woman is "stuck" with the baby for nine months longer than the father.  If she chooses to keep the child longer, it is her choice.  My experience is that the biggest blockage to adoption is the state agencies themselves.  By the way, of the people I know who have adopted "difficult" children, they are conservative, working class, Christians.  That may be slanted to the people I know, but it flies in the face of the silly notion that "conservatives" want to protect their right to life until they are born.  Even so, that still means they care more than those who support killing them before they are even given that chance.

Yeah, two or three I was friends with.  My best friend died in 1995, still miss her.

Jra, it is easier to adopt an older child than a new born.  The reason is no one wants an older child, they all want new borns, even people in their 40's and 50's.

So, Jra, you aren't against a person who doesn't have a job, getting welfare, foodstamps, etc.......................?  Most right wingers are and notice, I said "MOST".
