Fancy, I fully support a "safety net".  All but by the grace of God go I.  I do not support an entitlement mentality that comes from a "safety hammock".  I work hard, I make little money, but I am generous with what we have.  I am annoyed by to classes of people.......

1)  The people who complain about the food they are given.  The ones who are able to work, but only want to work under the table because they don't want to have to pay taxes and they don't want it to mess up their entitlements.

2)  The people who make plenty of money and want to help the needy as long as it is with other's money.  I have neighbors who complain to me about the gov't not doing enough to help the needy.....always two newer cars in the yard of the 2,800sq ft homes.  Last summer, visiting while checking out the new inground pool and getting a speech about the greedy republicans wanting to cut food stamps (while it was the Dems who actually took money from that program).

I don't suppose that all the people on entitlements are greedy like #1 and I don't suppose that all Dems are greedy like #2.  I lke that I know plenty of both not greedy groups.
