...where did the dem leadership come down on the war and the patriot acts?

They didn't come up with the idea for either of those items.

Both are conservative promoted items. And to question them means people were called traitors, terrorists sympathizers, and hate America firsters.

Which was an effective conservative fascist campaign.

I have to agree here... the dynamics of the situation and the climate of fear and politics of that moment in time seem to have been totally forgotten. Remember 'freedom fries' and the free and careless use of the word traitor, the approximately 72% approval rating of the thief in charge, the car magnets, the commentators, the 'so-called' liberal press, etc...

Of course, the party that promoted and encouraged the tactic will not want anyone to remember that, it's far more effective to dismiss all of it and lay the blame solely on the 'other' party...

Where I fully do hold the dems accountable is since they became the majority... as they have done nothing that the american people really wanted and if they tried, they didn't get the full support of the party...

i truly believe that as far as foreign policy is concerned the two parties are indistinguishable....i know many dems that seek peace and would like to concentrate on domestic issues...they are let down over and over again by a party that talks a good game but fails to deliver, they not only fail to deliver they become active participants in the destruction of our constitution and our bloody march toward world conquest ....my friends keep making excuses for the dem party like a beaten wife...i do sympathize i was like that for a while with the republicans until i realized i was being played like a fiddle...the dem are doing the same to their members...the repub propaganda campaign was masterful...if the dems really opposed the war or the patriot acts they would have more vocal about showing the american people what a lie it was...

Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as Elohim for Yahushua the Messiah's sake hath forgiven you. Ephesians 4:31-32
