And Stu's statement is true. Many rich people pay less in overall taxes, as a PERCENTAGE OF INCOME, than we do. Period.

That makes your categorical statement "The rich pay more in federal taxes than you do, Stu" simply false.

As a percentage of wealthy perhaps.  But the rich do pay more in federal taxes than you do.  Even if someone making $1,000,000 only pays 28%, that still still $280,00.  If they only paid 15% it would still be $150,000.  So now matter how you try to slice it, the rich pay more in taxes than most people earn. 

I'm frankly quite puzzled how you can say this is a false statement:  "The rich pay more in federal taxes than you do, Stu"
