Fancy, I understand what was being said.  I also fully understand taxes beyond individual taxes.  In fact, I have a personal understanding of these things because a vast majority of the taxes I pay out are in all of those pesky "non-income" taxes.  I should point out that it is not just the rich that have dividend taxes, interest taxes, capital gains taxes, payroll taxes, sales taxes, fuel taxes, school taxes, property taxes, utility taxes and surcharges, etc.  I get the added joy of directly paying regulatory permits, fees and surcharges.

In fact the biggest expense I have here on the farm are taxes, followed by insurances, then mortgage, then fuel and maintenance, then permit/regulatory fees and expenses.

I am fully aware of what the gov't costs me, this year it was close to $50,000.  I guess that is because I use more of the gov't services.
