A little more than a century ago huge swaths of our midwest and the African continent were scorched by man's fires.  100 years ago we had fewer forested acres than today.  We produce more food on less acreage than ever in history.  We are farming less environmentally sensitive land than 50 years ago.  We lose less topsoil to wind or runoff than we did 50 years ago.  We waste less natural resources in production, our rivers are cleaner than 50 years ago.  We are really missing the boat in congratulating ourselves for successes and continuing forward with these successes.

Do I know what is in store with out future climate.....nope.  At least I am willing to admit that, some of these scientists would do well to do the same.
