First of all, lat me say this...........I don't understand why the Governor should choose a representative.  The electorate should have this choice as the person chosen does not represent the state, but instead the people of a district.

Next, why should it have to be a Democrat.  When you walk into the voting booth to vote for a Representative, you are choosing a person, not a party.

With all of this said, unless the people of her district ask for a special election, I have to assume that they are happy having no representation in the US House.
