401k investment pensions, can't be underfunded. It is a market investment vihicle, and any match funds (normaly between 2 to 4 percent of base earnings) is paid quartly.

You thru out the old pension underfunding item, and showed no information that shows the last 'tax holiday' was used to even shore up those past debts due.

Tom, most people don't have jobs for 50 years the way my brother did who retired 2 years ago.  He said that in 2008 he lost half of his 401K to the stock market.  No folks, he isn't a liberal, he is a diehard republican.

If he left it invested in the market, he got most of that back.

And I'll bet if he looked at his balance at the low point in 2008, there was more money in his account than he and his employer contributed.
