I read the first book and I had trouble staying with it until the end. I read a lot of book and I generally like a story about an underdog who does well, but there were things about his story that just sat wrong with me.

First, Harry grows up under adverse conditions but comes out of it in pretty good shape, Okay, so far, so good.

All of a sudden he is "found" by the school and everyone is hailing him as a hero. Then something goes wrong and who is the first person they blame? Yep, it's Harry.

Not exactly consistent if you know what I mean.

These are books written for tweeners and while I have found some books like this enjoyable, I didn't like the HP books.

Give me "Game of Thrones" any day.
