Any employer that offers all this stuff, great for their employees. Is it all necessary to get good people? Absolutely not. If you or anyone else on this board gets those items, great for you. Again let me say that when they decide your cost is more than your worth and let you go, don't whine about it.

Great. That's your opinion, clearly.

I clearly IS NOT the opinion of McGraw-Hill and they have offered these things to their employees while making a profit and paying a dividend every year for over 70 years. Sean will be there 15 years soon and I expect to be loyal to them as well.

Nobody "demanded" anything of McGraw-Hill and if they didn't think they were getting their money's worth they would have stopped offering these benefits long ago.

I think that this way of thinking - caring about the general welfare - is probably what leads the McGraw family to supprt people like president Obama and other Democrats.

I still don't understand why anyone would care one way or the other what a company offers their employees. If somebody doesn't like the benefits they are welcome to not take the job and go look for something else.

Everyone has their own opinion - to be sure - and thankfully many don't agree with your mentality.
