They don't? I will respond to this only to say that we complain because the cost of doing business in this country and hiring American workers is said to be too high so Corporations have moved those jobs to other countries. IF this is what it takes to get good workers, then I can't blame them. If I felt I had to offer my employees even 1/2 of the stuff on this list, I would move my business elsewhere also.

I happen to believe that you can get good workers by paying a decent wage, offering them good insurance for them and their families, offering them paid vacations, a few days off paid to do personal business that can only be done m/f 8-5, overtime and possibly a couple other perks IF the company can afford to do so. I do not think a corporate jet, a box seat at a stadium, attorneys, adoption help, mortgage assistance and kids days are necessary. The work ethic today is obviously in the pits if it takes all the things on that list to get good help. I don't think it does.

McGraw-Hill can offer whatever they want and its their way but do I think they get better employees? That is for them to decide. Can they afford to keep people and pay out the rising cost of all those benefits, that is for them to decide.
