It's called simple arthimetic. Those born between the years 1946 and 1964 are referred to as Baby Boomers. Sandusky, born in 1944, is referred to as a War Baby.

AZKC, I saw that age reference, it had nothing to do defining Boomers age but rather an informational piece about age and benefits.

The full retirement age now depends on when you were born. If you were born between 1943 and 1954, you receive full benefits if you retire at age 66.
