Because i am obsessive regarding my cat and its health i wind up being an emotional train wreck when my cat appears to be sick. he was obsessively grooming himself the past month and vomiting fairly large hairballs about once or twice a day. i know from time to time they do this but i knew this was too many times so i took him to the vet and she examined him and his weight is fine and temp fine and everything was fine. she gave him a shot of corticosteroid and he has not vomitted since then which was 8 days ago. hooray!

i noticed yesterday and today he is sneezing from time to time, everything else is ok. i send my sister out on the enclosed porch when she smokes but he does go out there occasionally. taking him to the vet is a fiasco all by itself as he is terrified so i will wait until i think he has a real problem.

THIS is why I never had kids. between the 2 great nieces and nephews i helped raise and my cat, im a wreck.

Lori, cats usually start loosing a lot of their winter coat earlier than usual when we have light winters.  They swallow a lot of the hair, hence the hair balls and vomiting.  That is the reason the vets will recommend hairball meds which can be bought even in grocery stores.  I recommend getting the prescription hairball remedies instead of over the counter.  Hair can be getting into kitty's lungs, hence the sneezing.  But that doesn't mean to not take kitty to the Vet.  It is only a suggestion.  Have your Vet check Kitty out as soon as you can to make sure every thing is OK.   Does your Kitty like to play in the clothes?  If so, putting kitty in a pillow case usually helps taking them to the Vet.  My Damien love rides in Cars and his place was the passenger set in the front.  Anyone else had to get in the back seat or they had cat in their lap.  LOL
