What has surprised me is that so many of us have known each other for so long and we have discussed just about every subject that has come up. I think we know pretty much how each other feels on some of the major things that have happened and still happen in the news. So knowing this, we still misread. Take the Rush incident. I have no doubt, none at all, that nobody approved what he said. Instead of discussing him, the issue got forced into "well you didn't complain when X or Y or Z said A or B or C". This exploded the whole discussing into really ugly. The fact is, we were discussing Rush, not X,Y or Z. Each is a separate incident and merits its own discussion. Case in point, what was said by Malloy. Both were horribly wrong but why wasn't the rancid feelings the same? There is a reason the left get really upset with Rush more than anyone. And I know, that anyone who pays any attention, understands that reason. It is because this wasn't a one time thing, this isn't something that just happened out of the norm. This is usual and happens all the time. This time it affected women all over the Country. Women got angry and rightly so.

I think if we are to continue as a community, we have to attempt to stick to the topic more. Not let it be led off into a netherland of distruction. JMHO.
