I have to agree with gator on this one, the only way President Bush gets elected twice is Al Gore and John Kerry.

Their campaigns were two of the worst ever run.

Really? Gore only lost by 'electorial college vote' not by votes cast by the citizens.

It was a close call. But such a campaing could hardly be called 'worst ever run."
Al Gore was the incumbent Vice President of an administration that had enjoyed unprecedented success in the economy and bringing our government spending in line with our revenues.

Instead of running on the administration's accomplishments, primarily because President Clinton had some serious personal problems, Vice President Gore ran away from the Clinton Administration and its accomplishments. There is no doubt in my mind that had President Clinton not been prohibited from running again in 2000, George Bush would never have come close to winning.

The election was the Vice President's to lose and lose it he did.
