A personal attack is if I call you an pos but saying that I totally know where you are coming from isn't a personal attack. You have been posting on this board long enough to have figured you out somewhat.
No, your last paragraph made it about me and made derogatory comments about me you have no way of know are true. "You have yours, fuck everyone else" is a personal attack and everyone reading it knows that was how you meant it. It was personal and added nothing to the discussion of the policy.

Whether Gore answered questions to suit you is one thing. He is a smart man and I know that he wouldn't have said it just for political bs.
So what was his plan for his lock box? Where was the money he was going to put into the lock box going to go? How was it going to be kept away from being spent by the government on other things?

Without specifying these things, it was just political rhetoric and this is an inconvenient truth for the proponents of the Vice President Gore's lock box.

I also know I don't expect you to agree with me on this just like I don't agree with you about Paul Ryan. He will only further destroy what it took years to set in place. That man can rot as far as I am concerned. I care as much about him as I do his politics and that isn't much.
Fine, I don't expect you to agree with me. If you did, we wouldn't need to talk about it.

But I would really like it if rather than listing what you believe are my personal shortcomings you talked about how you think we should go about fixing the financial problems with Social Security and Medicare.

Tell me WHY you don't think what Representative Ryan has proposed will work and explain how your solutions would be better. Expect that I will challenge your solutions if I don't think they will work, understanding I am criticizing the proposed solutions and not you personally.

I just want to talk about our problems with other intelligent people who have different political views than I do so I can test my views against others. I am more than willing to change them if someone can logically explain why I should. I have done so on other issues such as gay unions, death with dignity, and the War on (Some) Drugs.

Is that really so much to ask?
