Hard core Republicans get a big hard woody at the thought of abolishing Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and other programs. Of course, they must relieve themselves in private; they would be kicked out of office, one and all, if the public knew what they actually wanted. Even some of their kooky base would throw them under the bus.
So what is the Democratic Party's plan to make these two programs fiscally sound?

As long as I have been following politics, it has been to kick the can down the road and let someone else worry about it. The problem is, we are nearing the end of the road when it comes to these two programs.

Well we know one thing that won't happen: Nobody will pay another dime in taxes to help solve the problem! President Norquist would never allow that!
We also know one other thing that won't happen; Democrats won't offer any actual solution to the problem, they will only knock down possible solutions offered by others. The Democrats won't even sit down and discuss possible solutions.
