And you can ask two Scientist the same question and get two different answers. Does that make one more valid than another? I would say yes and tend to go with the one that actually has made it his specialty to know about the subject in question instead of one who just knows some, but not as a specialty. Just like a Doctor. I pick the one who specializes in the subject, not the GP that knows a little but not specialized.
When one starts claiming it is "settled science", it is time to start looking elsewhere for answers.

"Settled science" is anti-scientific.

"To take from one, because it is thought his own industry and that of his fathers has acquired too much, in order to spare to others, who, or whose fathers, have not exercised equal industry and skill, is to violate arbitrarily the first principle of association, the guarantee to everyone the free exercise of his industry and the fruits acquired by it." --Thomas Jefferson
