What can we do about the al-Aulaqis of the world?

I'm not sure, which is why I haven't bashed the Administration nor voiced support over his execution.  I'd have less trouble with it if al Aulaqi had been in Afghanistan or at least close to the border of Afghanistan in Pakistan's tribal regions.  The nexus between theater of war and target would have been clearer.

I also don't know what the "fix" should be.  Any cure might be worse than the disease.  I don't want to prevent the President from taking necessary measures to protect the Republic, but I don't want him having carte blanche in the name of protecting the Republic, either.  Civil remedies aren't possible here:  no court is going to require the Executive Branch to declassify or turn over classified material to support or rebut a claim of injury pursuant to this (mostly unknown) policy.
