i will answer one:
Who actually wrote the "Old Testament"? The Jews? The Muslims? Christians weren't exactly in place at that time....no offense to Christians.
The Jews and Christians would say that God wrote it through Moses and the Prophets to the Jews...true Christians had not shown up yet and Muhammad ibn 'Abd Allāh did not arrive until 570 years after Jesus.

Ok. I understand this. But I would like to think that we've all known each other long enough that we can be civil in a discussion about this. But to each their own. If you would prefer private, by all means, private message me. Please note that I did not start this topic for the intention of starting 'something'. Just a discussion amongst friends...since we've been discussing religion for a couple of weeks now.

Yes. Many would agree that it is thought that the 'Old Testament' was written by Moses from God. However.....Moses was just a man, correct? So knowing that mankind is faliable to mistakes, how can we trust the wording? How much of it has been changed?

And another question:

What religion or faith was Adam and Eve? Were they Jewish? Muslim? No faith?

And yet another:

Since the Old Testament puts the Jewish race in the forefront of being "God's People", how can we be sure of this? Did the Jewish leaders of past times have an influence on this?

(NOT meant to offend anyone...just asking questions...)
