Lou: The Crusades were a crushing attack against countries that were extremely tolerant
of christianity. Both Christians and muslims lived fairly amicable together before the 'invasion'.
During the 5th through 12th century ( approximate dates) christianity and muslims lived fairly
peacefully except for political fighting, while europe was entrenched in bitter feudal wars
and mostly barabric conditions. To understand the the battles, one must also look at the
times and what was happening in various parts of the world.

It simply is NOT black and WHITE!
