Bad Days for ''The Decider''

These are bad days to be "The Decider." The feckless and cowardly Democratic-led Congress has all too easily and all too often cowered before his Majesty's self-proclaimed omnipotent power, but Mister Bush has been unable to bring America's judicial system to heel and it has been quick to remind the White House that the law of the land applies to EVERYONE ... even and especially a rogue administration.

George W. and his self-identified band of 'Loyal Bushies' had tried to convince a court that the Secret Service's visitor logs weren't public record (please, do remember that the Secret Service is funded by the American taxpayer). Sometime after the judge stopped spitting, chocking and pissing himself from gut-splitting uncontrollable laughter, he ordered the Secret Service's logs made available for public scrutiny.

The Bush administration had wanted to keep the logs secret, so that nobody would know just how cozy the White House had been with America's Taliban-like Christian Evangelical extremist leadership. Oh ... and the Bushies probably didn't want the people to know about all the visits paid to Mister Bush by the currently imprisoned Jack Abramoff. The judge, however, thought the people had a right to know. Yep, that's a bad day for "The Decider."

That brings us to the case of the CIA-destroyed torture tapes. Only months before the Bush administration gave the wink-n-nod for the CIA to shred the videos, U.S. District Judge Henry H. Kennedy had ordered the CIA to preserve the evidence. Oops!

Once the Bushies disposed of the video evidence of their torture practices and Justice Kennedy caught wind of the scheme, the administration tried to tell the judge to keep his big legal nose out of their bid'ness. After having had so much success rolling the Democrats, the Bush administration probably figured that their thuggish behavior would cow Kennedy.

It didn't.

The Associated Press reported that, "U.S. District Judge Henry H. Kennedy rejected calls from the Justice Department to stay out of the matter. He ordered lawyers to appear before him Friday morning." Oh, yeah! That's another bad day for "The Decider."

"The Decider" may have bullied the spineless Democratic-led Congress into submission, but it appears that the other co-equal branch of government, the Judicial Branch, isn't going to so easily surrender their Constitutionally-defined responsibilities. Indeed, it is bad days to be "The Decider."

Justice Kennedy though, might want to hire someone to test his food before eating his meals. Seriously, the fascist mafia doesn't take kindly to being told what to do. Besides, when "The Decider" is having bad days, it is best that everyone be extra cautious. He might want to relieve the pressure by erasing another section of the Constitution or, you know, offing an uppity judge.
