He claimed divinity to the point. The religious leaders of His day wanted Him dead because He claimed to be God. They got their wish but they weren't expecting the whole resurrection thing.
He an the apostles and other writers of the New Testament are very clear about His Godhood.
As far as the miracles are concerned. The accounts were written by eyewitnesses of actual happenings...these are not allegorical stories for our enlightenment. They were there to show the power of God at work in this world.

Ok...I respect your opinion here. But what if the writers were possibly 'padding' the stories? To make Jesus a martyr after his death.
