This seems, to me, to say "Never mind about logic or reality; this is a mystery of faith." In some ways I'm reminded of it by the current controversy over Biblical literalists taking the word of the Bible over provable science in the question of evolution. Is there even a possible reconciliation between these two points of view? I'm not confident there is.
Oh good question. This is just my opinion here...but how I see it is creation, yes, does exist. How? It's simple...life itself. To create a life, there must be an egg and a sperm...therefore life begins. Evolution....that ties in in how humankind has evolved over the years. In the beginning...things were simple...evolving to today with the technology that we have. To me, both go hand in hand. Creation...then evolution.

I don't think all religions are connected, but I do think the religious impulse in humans is well-nigh universal.
To me, just my opinion here....I think they are connected. I've read a little about several religions and each one will have a 'connecting' story. For example, the great flood. Several religions speak of this....or at least some type of flood.
