If this play depicted Mohammed in the same way it is depicting Jesus

The very fact that Mohammed is 'depicted' would be what incites them... not the subject matter...

Some Muslims take their faith and customs very seriously to the letter of their religious law. Just as some Christians take their's to the letter of the la... um, whatever parts they want to take seriously at that moment in time.

Let's all face it. There are extremists in all religions, factions, clubs, gangs, etc... The extremists win out when the moderates do nothing or are afraid to do anything. We have Muslims who refuse to speak out against the extremists because they don't want to give them recognition or they believe that they are above judging and pointing the finger.... the same is true in Christianity.

What it leaves us with is the extremes of both and coverage of both that make it look like the majority ARE extremists.

It's time for both faiths to start denouncing the extremes and bring sanity back to the world and moderation to their religions.

I'm not about to say who is worse but... they are both equally bad in their message but use different methods to achieve the same ends... CONTROL and POWER.

There was a point in the life of Christianity where the methods were as bad and even worse than what we see today in the extremist Muslims. Because it was in the past does not excuse it or justify it and it by no means gives us the power to declare that our morals are any better than any one else's. It's a process we went through and that they are going through and only moderation and discussion by the moderates is going to change anything.
