Correct.
Thus the comment addressed them, not you.
I realize the futility of a parade of one.
I've tilted at a few windmills in my time too Rosey.
But my comments here are sincerely addressed to the ostensible peace loving Muslim majority, if there is one.
Then what is it that you want from me? It is obvious that I cannot fully speak for the entire Muslim population around the world. However, I can speak for myself and those I am associated with. Is that a problem? Or would you rather keep lumping us altogether? The questions you keep posing here, I have answered to the best of my ability. If that is not sufficient for you, Sear, then I suggest you seek out other Muslims and get their opinions. Perhaps you will find whatever it is you are looking for. At this point, I have answered all that I can answer.

a) Because it's news, and they're a news reporting organization.
b) Because even though Bush is in power, the news around here still reports about Democrat stuff sometimes.
c) The premise is that the violent radicals are a small minority; and that the vast majority; not just 50%+1, but perhaps 90% or more want Islam to be a peace loving religion and People. And if that, then why would Al Jazeera cater to a tiny minority, to the objection of the vast majority. Not likely. Not plausible.
Yes, and why is it that the American news media will not report on the important things rather than the stories that gets them ratings? Or do you disagree with this statement? All I see from the American news media is stories that 'grab' the attention of people...the 'rating' material. I certainly don't see the nose-to-the-grindstone reporting I used to see from American media years ago. The reference that I have made to Bush in all of this is the fact that Bush called all the heads of news organizations to the White House just before the launch of the current Iraq war. Now, tell me, Sear...why on earth would he do such a thing? To filter the news, perhaps? If you do not agree that they were called to the White House just before the launch of the Iraq war, you can search for it through Google. Or even perhaps, if John (whonew) would like to do so, I'm sure that he can point you in the right direction to these stories. John is notorious for finding the real news....(that's a good thing John)

If the ratio of peace loving Muslims to violence loving Muslims is 90:10, then why wouldn't the ratio of the demonstrations for peace outnumber the demonstrations for violence by that same ratio?

When Medgar Evers was killed, the civil rights movement leaders didn't band together and say:
- Alright. They keelt one of us. So now let's go out there and keel us some of them! -

Instead, they stood in unity for civil rights.
And whereas while Islam has been to one degree or another soaked in human blood for centuries, the U.S. civil rights movement got it done in less than one human lifetime*.
Excuse me? The US civil rights movement is finished??? Then, why, pray tell, are the African American leaders and some other leaders saying that King's work is unfinished at this time??? I would rather think that the civil rights movement is still struggling. I guess the Jena 6 hasn't gotten word yet. Or perhaps the African Americans who were left behind in New Orleans didn't get the memo.

As for Islam being blood soaked....I will not deny that. But I think that other religions are just as blood soaked as well. Wouldn't you agree?

Well Rosey, the tail still wags the Islamic dog.
So one of two things is probably true.
Either there is a peace-loving majority in Islam that isn't very clever about getting their opposition to the violence publicized.
Or perhaps there isn't this great big silent peace-loving majority in Islam after all.
Take your pick.
Sure. Whatever you would like to think, Sear. It is your right and priviledge to think whatever you wish.

They don't seem to be as common anymore. Perhaps that's because we don't have military conscription, per se anymore.
Or perhaps people are more worried about how they will survive. This does happen, you know. In ALL countries....from the USA to Britain to Ethiopia to Morocco to Saudi Arabia to Egypt to Russia to Japan.
