He was old enough to drive. He thought he was old enough to drink. He had a history of getting away with too much already. Because his brain isn't fully developed is no excuse for the 4 dead. He got a pass because his dad had money and influence. End of story.

No problem Lou. I know what you meant. I used murder, not meaning anything to do with intent. I don't think he intended to kill anyone. He just didn't give a damn about anyone but himself when he drank and drove that vehicle. Whether is was 16 or 60. You drink and drive, you take your chances on killing yourself or usually someone else. He needs to learn and giving him a pass and a vacation of "rehab" isn't going to help one bit. He already has an attitude of entitlement.

My nephew was sent to rehab at 16 after stealing his dad's car. He was a teenage alcoholic. After much money and time spent to rehab him, it did no good. He finally got his license suspended and put on probation. Well, the very night his probation ended and he got his license back he went out to celebrate. He was 21 at this time. Driving home he hit a father with two young children, who was headed home after his workday, head on killing the father. My nephew was drunk. He suffered a broken leg and bruises. This time he went to prison for manslaughter. He grew up never having to pay for anything he did wrong. He had the feeling of entitlement just like this young man does.
