as always its about common sense and moderation. because i am an animal advocate, i get my saturated fats through other sources than meat and dairy. i do all my own cooking and eat mostly carbs. macaroni is my main staple with marinara sauce or veggies on top with a little olive oil. i go to get blood work done next month and im curious to see if my cholesterol has gone down cause if it has not, then its all about my family and how much my liver produces. i doubt i will go on statins. i have lost thirty pounds and want for nothing. lucky for me i love carbs and veggies and fruits and nuts and rice and beans and i have never been much of a sweet eater but i do love licorice so i indulge myself in that when if feel the urge.

its personal for me. its about the animals. i dont begrudge anyone who doesnt believe as i do but i have to follow my own conscience and i feel better for it. will it prevent a heart attack or cancer? who knows but for now i feel good.
