The "Last Temptation" was an amazing move and I believe it was closer to the real life of Jesus as anything ever put out, even in writings. I fully believe that he and Mary were married and quite possibly had children. That doesn't conform to the Bible because many do not take into account how times were regarding women when the books in the Bible were written. They left out entire books that had Mary as a predominate part. Why is that? The times. Women held no place other than do the bidding of their men and bare children. They had no other importance in life. It would NOT be good for the Church to have Jesus married. It was important that he be portrayed as this man who had no human emotions other than the Church.

Why some movies are singled out, I think it has to do with how close the watcher thinks that the movie stuck to the pre-ordained thinking of the watcher. If it goes against the watchers religion, it will get bad press. If it follows their thinking, it gets good press. Just my thoughts.
