Since the birth of the Scientific Method, science and reality are - by definition - directly linked. To reject science is to reject reality insofar as that is now known.

And they do.
The MMGW don't "know", they "believe". They believe models that when fed data from 30 years ago don't predict what is happening right now. 

If those models can't predict the past, why should we trust they can predict the future?
