You have harmed the people you claim to want to help by taking off any sanctions normally associated with being labelled a racist. You have neutered the primary tool we had to fight racism.

I think that's an extreme exaggration. Republicans have cheapened things as well by denying any sort of rascism exists and excusing it away when it flies in their face. They too have nuetered the subject. This is a two way street, both sides have had their hands in the business of muddying the waters. One side see's rascism everywhere the other never, ever see's it.

I understand like speaking to like and getting a pass, I don't agree with it but exists. I don't think Paul Ryan was being a rascist, but c'mon, you could have called this from left field. The black community isn't going to believe a white, conservative, republican from Wisconsin has clue 1 about what life is like in the inner city. He lives a priviledged suburban life. I doubt Ryan has done many rallies in inner city Milwaukee or actually spent enough time there to know what's what. Michelle Obama lived a priviledged suburban life in Chicago, but her and her husband, the dreaded community organizer actually did work the inner city, rally there, etc. That's the difference to me. Has nothing to do with race.
