No, I don't believe everything is on the up and up.

But I do believe blacks have some responsibility for how they live their lives. I don't thing blaming poverty, latent racism, overt racism or whatever other caucasian-based evils foiks can come up with override personal responsibility.

So, yes, blacks are convicted at a higher rate than white, but one never gets to the point of dealing with a biased court system if one doesn't commit the crime to begin with. That decision to commit the crime rests with the individual and no one else.
