The Army is going to investigate this matter on whether he deserted or what. It would be wise for people to wait until all investigation is complete and he has been fully debriefed before they find him guilty of anything. But that is more of a wishful thinking view. Many, even in this forum, has already made their decision.

As for the 5 released to get this man home? I could care less. We have held those people for far too many years without a trial of any kind. Either put them on trial them or let them go. It is way past time.
