AP, words mean things and POW actually has a meaning to the Army.  This soldier was listed as "missing".  You can feel free to call him whatever you want.

I don't have anything in particular against this soldier, but since his "capture" I have followed news stories and years ago the Army concluded that he walked away from his post and ended up with the Taliban.

No kidding?  The facts I was speaking of was that he was only in the Tora Bora region for about a week before he escaped to Pakistan.  The idea that our military actions in Iraq a month later let him "get away" has been since proven to be bad synopsis.  It does still make good rhetoric for those who need it.

Yes, no kidding.  Gen. Franks following orders from Bush & Rumsfeld only allowed 40 some additional troops to seal off the border, they weren't concerned about catching him because they were already building their case for marching into Iraq. The facts I am speaking of are verifiable, it's not rhetoric "I need".  There just was no need for your snotty and consecending response. You talk a good game but you are a first class asshole and you wonder why you get the responses you do.
