I concede. Funny thing is I read your post this morning but waiting to respond. I talked to a few of my active military friends today and asked them about the POW thing. One didn't know that and the other said he had heard about it but forgotten it. I guess that would go along with the fact that we don't fight "wars" anymore either. Instead they come up with some other word game antics to get our people shot at and killed or maimed so thinking about that, changing the words so there are no more POW's makes sense. Saying that, I believe most Americans still call them POW's for a damned good reason. Maybe they can change it to POE's. Prisioners of the Enemy. Whatever!

In my mind he was in an active combat unit fighting a "non" war on foreign soil and somehow got captured. Call it whatever floats your boat but to me, he is a POW. To others I have spoken to he was a POW. And I also heard this morning that there will be an investigation but his disappearance was investigated once before and funny that those that are from his unit bitching now apparently had nothing much to say then. Strange. Time will tell. If he was trying to betray to the enemy, he should pay for that crime. I wonder if "talking" while captive would be considered a traitor? You know, spilling your guts so you can get medical attention and not get beaten as bad as everyone else? For what it is worth, I would have told everything I knew to stay alive and really cannot blame anyone else for doing so but I would also be the last (if I did that) to raise hell today.
