Bush is mentioned nowhere in this piece. It's YOU who insert Bush into every thread usually. You are right though, that Bush started out right (afghanistan) then went way wrong with Iraq.

>>You comparing Bush to Churchill is like saying that Churchill should've left Hitler alone after a few months, to go and attack Portugal instead.<<

You??? who is that? No one did it.

Democratic standard operating procedure: Don't look at what we do, because BUSH WAS WORSE!

You're right. You didn't mention Bush. You just talked about who could see real threats and who else couldn't. So I read between a couple of lines. But a more apt comparison there is Neville Chamberlain and Barack Obama... hoping, against hope maybe, that someone will be willing to talk instead of shooting.

Well let's compare Bush and Obama for a sec... of the two, one of them isn't in a big rush to shoot first and forget to ask questions. And he's also not just asking questions that get him the answers HE WANTS.

And now, just for the hell of it, let's compare Adolf Hitler and Ahmedinejad. Right up until he sent the panzers into Poland, he'd been talking a LOT, about things like that unfair Versailles Treaty, and how the Germans were made to pay for a war that SOMEONE ELSE started in the first place. And about how so many "true Germans" were stuck in all these other countries, like Czechoslovakia and Austria... even though just about all of those "true Germans" had families in those other countries that went back centuries.

Sat there sounding all kinds of reasonable and sensible... until September 20th, 1939.

Ahmedinejad, now... he ain't been sounding anything remotely LIKE reasonable or sensible since Carter was President, and ain't likely to suddenly start. I doubt if Obama thinks there's really even half a chance in hell of getting him to not keep up the nuclear thing, nor even letting anyone come and check to see if it IS just for energy.

That doesn't mean he's about to decide to just send in a few dozen cruise missiles one sunny morning.
