Somewhere around 180 mph. Which would still be more than enough to dig it into the floor.

Why are YOU arguing about this anyway? Are you trying to say it WAS a fluke that some dimwit just happened to shoot off a gun at precisely the right angle and distance to hit THAT PARTICULAR WINDOW... at all?
Yes. That is exactly what I am saying. I am agreeing with the investigators because I haven't heard one conclusion they made that didn't make perfect sense to me.
So it's just some amazing coincidence that right after a lot of Democratic congress people get death threats and have rocks and bricks thrown at their offices, this REPUBLICAN congressman has a BULLET fall out of the sky and hit HIS office purely at random.  Sure.
You think a bullet would lose just 20 MPH in breaking through a pane of glass? Interesting. Can I see your calculations?
No.  You show ME how you know it would slow down more than that.  Particularly, slow down enough that it wouldn't embed in the floor, which it didn't.

BTW: The people who are killed by falling bullets on New Year's Eve? Do you find it equally hard to believe that someone didn't target them, as well?
No.  Because I live right up the street from a bunch of fucking yahoos who DO shoot off guns on New Year's AND the 4th of July, and if all of THAT lead hit people, half of Durham would be in the morgue.

I have a question for YOU: What makes you (or anyone else) want to believe Eric Cantor instead of the cops when he had such a vested interest in telling a different story than the cops? Something he said had to be "corrected." Has anything the cops said had to be similarly corrected?
What makes YOU think I believe Cantor?  I think he's full of shit and trying to make it look like people who DIDN'T vote for health care reform are getting attacked too.

And there is no such thing as THAT MUCH coincidence.
