The U.S. may well more or less have been on the right path, until then. But then and thereafter we seem to have lost our way.

But I'm guessing that drives production costs up.
It seems to me if a patient can just jam a few seeds into the ground outdoors in Spring, and harvest a year's worth of medicine at the end of Summer, for the cost of a packet of seeds (about a $dollar) I think that's a pretty damn good way to lower health care costs.
