Shortly after being posted to the Obama campaign Tumblr site on Tuesday, an e-card many found offensive and sexist was yanked, The Daily Caller reported.
"Vote like your lady parts depend on it," read the e-card. Underneath, a caption read: "Because they kinda do."
"President Obama has now literally reduced women to the sum of their 'lady parts' only," read a post at Twitchy.
"First he tries to reduce women to 'Julias,' enslaved by and tethered to Big Daddy Government from cradle to grave," the staff at Twitchy wrote. "Now, he quite literally tells women to vote with, and for, their 'lady parts,' grossly diminishing women."
The image was removed after it was linked on the popular Drudge Report, The Blaze said.
According to the Daily Caller, the Obama campaign said the image was removed because it had not been properly reviewed.
“We have a review process for our online content and this piece did not go through our regular review,” an unidentified campaign official said in an email. “When it was discovered, it was taken down.”
According to Mashable, the post was originally created by Tumbler user "vennstiel.”
"The Obama campaign Tumblr often reblogs memes, GIFs and other Tumblr-style content," Mashable said. "Mitt Romney’s campaign tends to post campaign photographs and infographics made in-house."
The page created quite a stir on Twitter, Twitchy noted.
"Absolutely disgraceful," Amanda Carpenter tweeted.
Emily Miller asked: "President Obama, quit worrying about my lady parts and start worrying about my wallet, OK?"
"Nothing says 'pro-woman' like treating female voters as hysterical brain-damaged walking uteri," added David Burge.
The link now goes to a page that simply says "not found."
