Our favorite grocery store, Kroger, had 12oz bags of Cashews on sale for $3.99 so we stocked up on them.
So, when I decided to make a couple of pies for some holiday parties I ended up making what Sean has named "Cashew Fly Pie."
I just made the 5th and 6th ones night before last and our neighbors who got one insist it should be entered into a contest.
Our other good friends say it is "restaurant quality" and he is a chef. They have essentially demanded that we bring two pie to their Christmas party.
Obviously I'm bragging a bit but I've been so "hit or miss" with baking in the past that I have to toot my horn while I can.
I think I'm going to arrange some whole nuts on the pie from now on to improve the look a bit.
