Posts: 5267 04/30/07 15:58:25 Just call me Wine	Tags : None This is what your Control Center looks like. You can access any part of your User account from this area. You can customize your profile from this area, make new signatures, add new profiles, add new images to your freebie space, change the settings of your account, and access your Message center here. 1. Switch..........this allows you to switch your profile. 2. View Profile..........this allows you to view your current profile. (Whichever profile you are logged in to.) 3. Edit Skins..........This allows you to edit your Profile skins. 4. Edit Layout..........This allows you to edit the layout of your profile. 5. Edit Signature...........This allows you edit your signatures. 6. Comments and Friendships.....this allows you to view the comments on your profile and notifies you of any requests for friendships. Media... This allows you to manage your media area...where you store your avatars, etc... Account... This allows you to manage your account at Yuku. Including private messages, etc. In the center, you will find various options listed. You will find the Administrative controls here for your personal boards, also, any board where you are an owner, administrator, member will be listed here for ease of access!

Posts: 987 08/06/07 16:35:50 LTTE Member	Hello Rosey, I got an e-mail telling me I got a Yuku PM. I searched in my Yuku Profile, to see if I could set a default, so that my Yuku account functions as my Ezboard account does; so when I have a Yuku PM, I'm alerted to it whenever I'm online with any Yuku site. But I didn't find any way to make that happen. Is there a way to fix that? PS I know I've ranted on it venomously in the past Rosey, but it seems these selectable options w/ Yuku retain the same horrible characteristic they had @Ezboard. I can DE-select "Use Smilies (?)", but that de-selection doesn't remain. Instead, it must be re-de-selected with every post. How many years has this obvious defect persisted? It's such an obvious problem, with such a low cost, simple solution. Isn't it long past time Yuku, and Ezboard fixed this, so that it can be set once by each user / pseud; and that choice will remain until changed? Thanks again Rosey. Yo

Posts: 5267 08/06/07 17:40:49 Just call me Wine	Hi Sear! Yes. You have an option in your Settings where you can be alerted by email of private messages here at Yuku. There is also an Addon for the Firefox browser that you can use that will alert you to private messages as well. Let me explain both: First, to receive email alerts for private messages here at Yuku, simply enter your Navigation area. Look to the left side for the box marked ACCOUNT. (It's under your avatar area) Click on SETTINGS. This will take you into that particular area. Then click on NOTIFICATIONS. Here you can choose how you want to be alerted. You can have it set to email on every request....or a daily digest. Also, by checking the boxes there, you can have the option of email alerts for private messages, friend requests, or image comments. Then just click SUBMIT and you're all ready to go. (IT should work.) LOL! Also, IF you use the Firefox Browser instead of Internet Explorer, you can download and install an addon for the Firefox browser. (It will not work on any other type of browser....just Firefox). It is a little program...doesn't take much. It will put an option in the lower right hand corner of your browser window....it will say Yuku. You can sign into Yuku with this little option, and access all of your board, profiles, private messages, etc. The little green light will blink whenever you have a private message, friend request, etc. It's a neat little thing. I use it all the time. The access is so much easier. Hope this helps! As for the smiley option....I dunno. I would think that they could make it as you would like. Perhaps you can submit a ticket/suggestion to them and see if perhaps they might take it into consideration to put that option available. You can submit a ticket by clicking this link.... But none has been sharper than you Rosey. Thanks. I suspect, if left to my own devices, I never would have figured that out. btw, you're right. I've been using Firefox ever since my IE7 packed up; plain old stopped working. I can't imagine me ever going back to an MS browser. What dreadful software. I used to compose posts, and then lose them w/ IE. It hasn't happened once since I switched to Mozilla's Firefox (now v 2.0.0.6).

I see that I forgot to put the link for it here...I'll do that so other members who may want to use the Firefox browser can check it out... Firefox Yuku addon click here....... I never use IE anymore...only when testing web sites. (I do web design.) I do not like the new IE 7. It's just....wrong. LOL! Some people really like it, and that's ok. I just never liked it.
